This was actually the second time in two months I'd seen "Metropolis," though the different scores made the film almost entirely different experiences. The first, last February <a href="http://bit.ly/jAfQNq" rel="nofollow">at the IU Cinema</a>, was the debut of the "new" sheet music based on Huppertz's lost score, performed by a 17-piece orchestra from the Jacobs School of Music. The Alloy's version was impressive but I found it a little bludgeoning after a while.
